A nifty little trick for automated placement of objects/lights/helpers that seems to have gone under the radar. The Clone and Align tool does exactly what you might think, it allows you to make clones of whatever you have selected, and it aligns those clones to whatever you want. Huzzah! You can find this tool in Tools > Align > Clone and Align.
